Krystle is our Community Manager overseeing our staff as well as the day-to-day operations and interacting with residents and their needs or concerns. She has lived in Sandpoint for 44 years and has filled many roles at AVSA, including Reception, Office Management, Assistant Manager, and presently the Community Manager. She is excited to be at the helm of this dynamic community fully interacting with the residents, staff, families, and the management team. Krystle looks forward to building relationships within the Sandpoint community within the arts and entertainment venues to enhance the social activities of our senior residents as well as reaching out to organizations that can bring enrichment opportunities for physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Our dining services manager and kitchen staff work diligently to prepare and serve appetizing, nutritious, home-cooked meals. Catering to resident’s preferences for the type of foods they like residents are encouraged to offer up recipes and participate in the monthly dining services meeting. We value resident ideas and input. Along with the daily dining program, our staff excels at creating unique dining experiences for many of the events, activities, and functions held throughout the year.
Scott is our Maintenance Director. He has spent 26 years in the construction field. He spent 12 years in direct care for mentally disabled adults and veterans. He recently settled in the Sandpoint community and enjoys the many amenities this area provides for camping, fishing, and outdoor recreation.
Weekend Receptionist & Dining Assistant
I have been at Alpine Vista for several years and have worked with staff as dining assistant, housekeeper, assistant activity director, receptionist, and activity director. I have enjoyed working with the residents every year and learning about their interests from all these various perspectives. I like being a positive voice for Alpine Vista and feel most comfortable continuing as parttime Receptionist and assisting in dining services.
Theresa Hubbard is our office manager at Alpine Vista, was introduced to Alpine Vista Senior Apartments when her mother was a resident. During her stay here, I became very fond of many of the residents and knew that at some point in time I would like to become a part of the team. I had worked previously for Kaniksu Health Services for 5 years and it was not until my mother became ill, did I make the choice to quit my job there to take care of her. After her passing, I received a call from the Community Manager indicating that there was a position available in housekeeping. I agreed to take the position so I could help senior residents transition through some of their difficult times. Now as the office manager, I am so excited to be able to work with them individually in a new capacity. Whether it is listening to their concerns or trying to help them solve a problem, our objective is to help our Seniors enjoy their time here at Alpine Vista Senior Apartments!!
I enjoy living in North Idaho for all the recreational opportunities that exist here. I especially enjoy camping with my family and enjoying the surrounding community. I have been housekeeping for the past 15 years in various businesses such as casinos, hotels, and assisted living facilities. I enjoy interacting with the elder residents and hearing their wonderful stories. While working with the casinos, I served as assistant to the marketing director. Working for Alpine Vista is a wonderful change of pace from the supercharged environments of casinos and hotels. I am so pleased to be a part of the AVSA family.
